Became head athletic trainer of the San Antonio Spurs in 1998 after serving as the assistant athletic trainer of the Indiana Pacers for 4 seasons. As an intern for the Pacers from 1992-1994, and the Pacers’ assistant from 1994-1998, Sevening worked under the tutelage of longtime head athletic trainer David Craig.

During his tenure with the Pacers, he provided athletic healthcare to various high school sports programs in the Indianapolis area and volunteered to assist Butler University’s sports medicine program.After receiving a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1990 from the University of Wisconsin- LaCrosse, Sevening earned a master’s degree in sports medicine in 1992 from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Al. While in Alabama, Sevening served as athletic trainer for the Senior Bowl, the annual collegiate football game that showcases the NCAA’s top senior talent. He was one of two athletic trainers honored to provide healthcare services for the USA Men’s Olympic Basketball Team at the 2003 FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Puerto Rico. Was the third athletic trainer at the 2005 NBA All Star Game in Denver, working alongside Jim Gillen and Ron Culp.

During the 2011 NATA annual convention in New Orleans, worked as a lab instructor for the NBATA Student Athletic Trainer cadaver lab. Traveled to Rio de Janiero, Brazil in 2011 to provide healthcare for the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders program. Has been a part of the 5 NBA Championships with the Spurs. Sevening is in his 4th term as President of the NBATA Foundation. He is a certified member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association, a licensed athletic trainer in the state of Texas, and a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. An avid baseball fan, Sevening has traveled to nearly 60 major and minor league ballparks throughout the US to see games. The Chicago native also enjoys seeing NHL games while on the road and spending time with his family.

Will and his wife Terri, reside in San Antonio. They have four children, Allison, Benjamin, Emma, and Liam

Dice Yamaguchi joined the San Antonio Spurs in the summer of 2007 … served as the athletic trainer for the Austin Toros, the Spurs NBA D-League affiliate, from 2007-11… was promoted to assistant athletic trainer with the Spurs in the summer of 2011 … a native of Fukuoka, Japan … came to the U.S. in 2001 to learn athletic training at Indiana State University … was a volunteer student athletic trainer with NFL Indianapolis Colts in the summer of 2005 … served a seasonal student athletic training intern with NBA Indiana Pacers in 2005-2006 season … graduated from California University of Pennsylvania with a Master of Science in 2007… was a certified athletic training intern with NFL Philadelphia Eagles in the summer of 2007…. is a certified Athletic Trainer, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Performance Enhancement Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist.
